I would have to agree that Cielito Lindo is among the top Mexican restaurants in Texas– and an affordable treat to boot. We’ve been going there now for almost 5 years and we’ve always had a great meal. Everything is made fresh– the corn tortillas have so much flavor. On a chilly day, order any of their soups, it’s a meal in a bowl, with rich broth, and chunky pieces of chicken, vegetables, and other fixings (diced avocado…crispy chicarrones…yum!).

Grilled entrees are juicy and never dried out– their moles and other sauces are made in house and rich in depth. Even their side vegetables are done well! Very family friendly, you will usually see several large families dining there any time you go. Service is also attentive– I’ve made this my “last Mexican meal on the way to the airport” stop for visiting friends and they never miss a flight! Go and don’t rush, enjoy your meal, and make this a favorite stop in Stone Oak for Mexican food, without breaking your budget.
